Referrals and Medicare Policy

Medicare does not permit backdated referrals, which means that referrals must be issued during a consultation. For your convenience and to ensure compliance with Medicare regulations, we strongly recommend that you book an appointment with your regular doctor for any referral needs.

Administrative Fees

If a referral is requested without a prior consultation, a small administration fee may be applied. This fee is necessary to cover the processing of the referral outside of a regular consultation.

To avoid any additional charges and to ensure that your referral meets all necessary medical standards and Medicare requirements, please schedule an appointment with your regular doctor. This appointment will allow your doctor to assess your needs accurately and provide you with the appropriate referral.
