IMMUNISATIONS

Adult and childhood immunisations can be conducted by the practice nurse. At this stage the practice nurse is available on a Monday and a Friday. Influenza, pneumonia vaccines and childhood vaccines are provided. For some immunisations, a script will need to be obtained from a doctor before purchasing the vaccine from the chemist. 

Our practice nurses also manage travel vaccinations. Please be aware that vaccinations for overseas travel are often complex and require a number of consultations to complete the process. Please book an appointment well in advance (e.g. two months) of your travel date. Overseas travel advice and vaccines are not subsidised by medicare.
