Please be assured that your medical records andconsultations are kept in the strictest confidence and used only for your care.It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal informationat all times, and to ensure that the information is only available toauthorised members of staff.
Your medical file is handled with the utmost respect foryour privacy. The file will be accessedby your medical practitioner, and when necessary, by the other medical andclinical staff in the practice for communicating relevant information tospecialists or allied health professionals.
It may also be necessary for our staff to access your fileto address the administrative requirements of running a medical practice. As acondition of their employment, all our staff are bound by strictconfidentiality requirements.
Ordinarily we will not release the contents of your medicalfile without your consent, but there may be occasions where we will be requiredto release the details of your file, such as for legal disclosure as requiredby a court of law, disease notification, and inclusion on national and stateregisters such as Immunisation and PAP.
